Ultima Edizione started a few years back as a special project from renowned winemaker Filippo Baccalaro, who makes all our bestselling Farnese wines.

The winemaker’s “”Ultima Edizione”” – their Ultimate Edition – produced when only the best grapes can be sourced. The non-vintage blend of all the best fruit from the best vintages.” He cherry picked tiny parcels of premium soft, ripe Montepulciano and Sangiovese from Abruzzo, and dark Primitivo and spicy Negroamaro from sun baked vineyards in Puglia in the deep south. He barrel aged and blended the parts to produce this intensely flavoured red.
